Urgency
November 28th, 2009Saturday’s Reflection
URGENCY for the well-being of the earth is born in the heart of God. The divine desire moves through the world, seeking to make all creatures radiant with goodness and alive with righteousness. True prayer includes every desire of our own that helps align us with this loving movement of the Spirit. Once we realize this, we’re very close to prayer “without ceasing” (1 Thess. 5:17).

What occured to me is that I must have the desire. God gives me the strength and endurance and patience and love but I have to want it and seek it with all my heart. And the days are urgent. Although we have always sensed the end times are near through the last 2000 years, I never know when my time or the days of someone who needs to hear my testimony may be terribly short. If I am praying and listening without ceasing, maybe I will be where I am needed to say or do what God wants me to say or do.
