Writing as Spiritual Practice Retreat

The Upper Room is pleased to announce a covenant retreat experience for the rising generation of spiritual leaders. The purpose of this program is to encourage ministers, pastors and others to cultivate writing as a spiritual practice. Three contemplative retreats will be held to provide the context for this experience. Applicants will be selected based on their desire to grow in their relationship with God through writing, as well as their desire to participate in a covenant group experience. The application deadline is February 20, 2012 and the first retreat is April 10-13, 2012.  All retreats will be at the Oblate Renewal Center in San Antonio, TX. Thanks to funding from the Lilly Endowment, all tuition and travel expenses are provided; participants pay only for lodging and meals.
