Future generations are a primary concern for all Christians. In order to support the extended family of Christ, The Upper Room® offers spiritual resources for believers of all ages, including books and magazines for children and youth and books to help parents help their children to grow spiritually.
The family is a primary place for nurturing the spiritual growth of its members -- children, youth, young adults, and parents. In the words of Delores Leckey in The Ordinary Way: A Family Spirituality, the family is called to serve as a "sacred shelter," a place where its members find acceptance, where they are nurtured, and where they are encouraged to grow in their relationship with God. As the family fulfills its calling, its members become empowered to carry out God's ongoing work of love and justice in the world.
