Saints and Heroes Chain
Saints are normal people who
try to do what God wants them to do with their lives. They quietly work
to help other people and make the world a better place. For these reasons
we sometimes call them "everyday heroes." All of us who try to be like
this are saints of God.
Here is a way to help you recognize
and remember the saints in your life: make a paper chain. Cut out a
strip of construction paper and write on it "saints of God." Tape or
staple it into a circle. Then each time someone you know does a kind
deed (like doing someone else's chore or helping someone study or eating
lunch with someone who seems lonely), cut out a strip of construction
paper, write that person's name on it, and link it onto the chain.
You can use one person's name
as many times as you want. Remember, you can put your name on a link,
too, when you do a kind deed!
