Trevor is one of God’s great gifts to the ecumenical church and a SOULfeast favorite. His leadership has been shaped in the crucible of the South African experience in recent years. Trevor, best-selling author of Questions God Asks Us, A Mile in My Shoes and The Way of Transforming Discipleship (Companions in Christ®), is a pastor deeply committed to the spiritual care of the people of Northfield Methodist Church in Benoni, just outside Johannesburg. Trevor is married to Debbie, and together they are the parents of Joni and Mark, now young adults.

Vance serves as deputy general secretary for the United Methodist General Board of Discipleship. A dynamic preacher, Vance will enliven our time together at SOULfeast. He is a contributing writer to the recently published 7 Myths of the United Methodist Church. Vance makes his home in Nashville, Tennessee.

Marjorie is an ordained Presbyterian minister and a gifted retreat leader. She has authored many of the resources in the Companions in Christ® series as well the spiritual formation classic, Soul feast: An Invitation to the Christian Spiritual Life. She and her husband John live in Kingston Springs, Tennessee.

Jasmine Smothers

Jasmine Smothers

Jasmine is the Senior Associate Pastor at Atlanta First UMC and is active at all levels of the United Methodist connection. She serves as the co-chair of the Division of Young People’s Ministries for the Southeastern Jurisdiction and as board member for the General Commission on Religion and Race of the UMC. A native of Atlanta and the daughter of two preachers, Jasmine is committed to “equipping the saints for the work of ministry”.
