UTS Summer Seminar in the Smokies
Sponsored by the Center for Worship, Preaching, and the Arts of United Theological Seminary, seminar participants will engage in extra sessions throughout SOULfeast for integrative reflection on their conference experience. These sessions will be facilitated by Dr. Richard Eslinger, Academic Dean of UTS, and SOULfeast worship musician, Elise Eslinger. Key conference leaders will join the group for consultation and discussion.
Special sessions of UTS Summer Seminar are scheduled at the beginning, middle, and end of SOULfeast. Participants will be joined by key conference leaders in one or more sessions:
- Sunday 3:00-5:00 p.m. - Rev. Stephen Bryant, Publisher and World Editor of The Upper Room and Rev. Jerry Haas, Executive Director of the Academy for Spiritual Formation and Emerging Ministries, The Upper Room
- Tuesday lunch Session 12:00-2:00 p.m. - Rev. Vance Ross, Deputy General Secretary of the General Board of Discipleship and Rev. Jasmine Smothers, Atlanta First United Methodist Church
- Wednesday lunch Session 12:00-2:00 p.m. - Rev. Trevor Hudson, Northfield Methodist, Benoni, South Africa
- Thursday lunch and Closing Session 12:00-2:00 p.m. - Rev. Marjorie Thompson, teacher, author, and retreat leader
