Be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. - Ephesians 6:18 (NIV)
As a nurse, I ride the hospital elevator often. Each day before going to my floor I pray for visitors who will use the same elevator.
Most visitors are not happy about being at the hospital. Some have traveled long distances, worried and concerned for a loved one.
Opportunities to offer love and compassion are all around us.

I join many of those who will pray for you as you seek to discern what you are called to be at this moment. May God grant you the courage to fulfill that calling. May we all open our eyes and see the misery, open our ears and hear the cries of God’s people, and, like God through the Lord Jesus Christ, be incarnate amongst them.”
