What's wrong with Jim? It may not be as hopeless as he thinks. Have you tried any of the following? Ayurveda. Traditional Chinese medicine. Naturopathy. Integrative medicine. These four branches of health sure helped me. Some medical doctors (M.D.s) practice integrative medicine. You can find one on IFM.org They might be able to help Jim more than the traditional doctors have. I have seen Western doctors want to do drastic interventions when it isn't necessary sometimes, and holistic health can solve the problem by using another approach. Jim might get a different report from one of these people. Good luck
