Dear Chris81, It's difficult to battle sins using your own will power. You need Lord Jesus in your heart and the Holy Spirit to convict you of your sins. Once you've been saved through Lord Jesus, based on your faith in him and belief in the gospel, his precious blood on the cross, and through God's grace and Lord Jesus's grace, you can become a new creation in Christ. You will gradually sin less and less and will have a strong desire to please Father God and Lord Jesus as you go through the sanctification process. The Holy Spirit will guide you.
