JWLuvene, I am praying for you. John 3:16 states clearly how much God loves us. This verse is itself an entire Bible, because it contains the entire Gospel. It shows us the source of man’s redemption – the love of God. It shows us the measure of divine love – God gave His only Son. It shows us that redemption was accomplished (fulfilled) – through the sacrifice of Jesus. It tells us how to be saved – through faith in the Son of God. It tells us who will be saved – everyone who believes in Christ. It shows us what salvation is – it means that the saved will not perish but will have eternal life.
