What does Matthew 18:19 mean?

TLDR: It is not a promise from God that any two or three Christians who come together to ask for anything from God will receive what they ask for.

In these words, often misinterpreted and misapplied, Jesus is talking to the Twelve Disciples within the context of a sinful believer who is being removed from the community of Christians .It is an enormous responsibility.

Jesus does not give wo/men authority by saying that whatever they bind or loose on earth will be bound or loosed in heaven.

It is drastically against the context of this passage that this is a promise from God that any two or three Christians who come together to ask for anything from God will receive what they ask for.

The Prosperity believers turn Jesus an eager butler who fetches all of our desires and gives us our best life now.

The Prosperity Gospel is not biblical. It is not based on sound doctrine but on twisted cherry-picking the Scripture taken out of context. This is why it's so important to know Scripture for yourself.

It is the height of arrogance and willful ignorance of the biblical knowledge of Scripture.

The old adage, "If it sounds to good to be true it probably is." applies to the Prosperity Gospel.
