Your father loved you. Hopefully you know this. If you doubt it, then unless he was genuinely a bad parent, it's likely he just didn't know how to show it. Regarding sexual temptation, God still loves you anyway, even if you are having a problem with this. And you are probably being too hard on yourself anyway…which I am about to tell you why. I don't claim to know everything, but if I had to take my best guess about where sexual problems come from, here is my diagnosis. You grew up in church constantly hearing God referred to as He. You grew up at home receiving the unconscious message that your mother was the more loving parent. This was a deadly combination, and it has left you psychologically messed up as a person. This is the cause of your problem with sexual temptation. Don't worry, the whole human race is likely in the same boat. The Christian religion teaches us that God is masculine; but this surely can't be right because the Christian religion also teaches us that all human beings are made in the image and likeness of God. If that is true, then God must also be female and should be called She sometimes. By the same logic, I assume that fathers and mothers were equally loving parents at the time of creation. It would not make sense to suggest that the male version of God loved His children less than the female version of God…because God is perfect and so saying that male God was less capable of love than female God would introduce an imperfection into God's character, if you can follow my logic. If human beings are made in the image and likeness of God, then we are meant to reflect that at all times. Since we don’t…Our world is unhealthy and not to sound too harsh, but...perverse. This is my opinion about what probably causes sexual temptation of any and every kind. It's sad. I wish that everyone on this planet could have had a normal life, instead of what we had. But maybe just hearing the truth will do something for you.

Ryan...Father, thank you for Ryan and his desire to repent, walk in Your ways, and to be strong in You. I command any demonic oppression to leave in Jesus name and by the Blood that covers this son of the Most High God. We take captive thoughts of unforgiveness, anger, lust, and a compulsive desire to drink and submit it them to the cross. Remind Ryan of Your deep love for Him. May Your grace be ever- present before Him to lead Him away from temptation and into righteousness. May he host Your presence with worship and praise daily; bith weapons against the taunts of the enemy.
