If you think there are aspects of your character that are not good, then I am glad you are a good enough person to want to change them. But you shouldn't trust the Christian God for that. I am speaking from 20 years of experience. Christianity made my character worse, not better. I used to be a good person. There was good in my character, and it helped other people. But today, I am only a shell of what I used to be. The good things in my character were taken in by Christianity and eaten alive. They were ruined and twisted. Like you, I also once trusted the Christian God to make me a better person. But I am very sorry today that I did, and it is the most bitter regret I have in life. Don't make the same mistake I did.
