Dear Ohio_Mike, I lift you up to Father God and Lord Jesus so that your prayers can be answered about living a righteous life and healing your relationship with your wife. Ohio_Mike, If you haven't been saved or born again, it's very difficult to live a righteous Christian life using your own will power. I encourage you to ask Jesus to become your Lord and Savior and for him to save you. To be saved, you will need to have faith in him, believe in the gospel, and confess that you're a sinner and need him to save you (Romans 10:9-11). Surrender your heart and mind to Jesus and be willing to repent. It is through Jesus's blood on the cross, your faith in him and in the gospel, and God's grace and his grace that you can be saved. Once you're saved, you'll become a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). The Holy Spirit will be indwelled in you, and you'll gradually transform, and will sin less and less. Each day you will have a strong desire to please Lord Jesus and Father God in your Christian walk. Ohio_Mike, I encourage you to go to the gotquestions.org website and look up, "How can I be saved?" and also "What is a new birth?" You also might want to talk to a pastor about salvation, or being saved, or born again. It will be a wise decision to talk to Lord Jesus, as you would to a dear friend, about his precious gift of salvation. I pray that all will go well with your Christian walk and your marriage.
