Forgiveness doesn’t mean that the memory goes away. And it doesn’t mean that the pain goes away. Forgiveness is being able to give it the Jesus and then thank Him for you being able to forgive. Then turn around and give love to others just like Jesus did, all the time thanking Jesus that you don’t have to carry around the bitterness that comes from unforgiveness! Thank you Jesus! Jesus let this brother forgive his mother and then press forward to give out the way you did! Amen.

Dear Father God and Lord Jesus, I lift up StayHumble to you for a strong forgiving spirit. Please strengthen and comfort this person. May StayHumble remember that you forgave us, Father God and Lord Jesus, and you, of course, want us to forgive others. StayHumble might want to re-read the story about Joseph and his brothers and how he forgave them of their sins (Genesis 50:15-21). Please help StayHumble to keep the focus on you, Lord Jesus, not on negative thoughts about the past. May this person reject negative flashbacks immediately and replace them godly, loving thoughts.
