Dear Erika, Please accept my condolences for the loss of your precious mom. Here's my prayer - Dear Father God and Lord Jesus, I lift up Erika Gilbert to you for strength, guidance, and peace because her dear mother passed away a few days ago. Please let her draw close to you, and pray each day. You are truly our refuge, and you give us sustained love, strength, and peace during difficult times. May Erika also meditate on Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." Besides reading the "Upper Room" each day, let her also read the Bible, including the gospels and the Psalms, such as Psalms 23, 32, and 91. A daily devotional book that might be helpful to Erika is Sarah Young's "Jesus Calling." In Jesus's name, I pray.
The bible says that God is near to the brokenhearted. It is my desire and prayer that you feel his presence in your life. I pray that he comforts you and may you have peace that surrounds you at this time as you grieve your loss. Remember the good times with your mother.
