Father, You are El Roi, the God who sees. Even when the world does not take notice, You see. When the cries of Your people are drowned out by the noise of hate in the world, You hear. When we don't know what to do to stop the hate and injustices happening around us, You have the answers. You are moved by our prayers... Today, Father, I lift up me prayer for the people of Nigeria. It is easy to sit in our homes and feel there is nothing we can do to help. But we are reminded we can do the most powerful thing in all the earth. We can pray. Forgive us Lord when we see the news of the persecuted and just pass over it because we think we are helpless. But you have given us the most powerful gift that the world cannot give or take away. You have given us prayer and the authority over the powers of darkness in this realm. Today, I will use the power and authority You have given us and will pray against the powers of darkness that are taking the lives of your people in Nigeria and wherever we see or hear of evil. It's a big job that seems overwhelming and endless. But it is not if we remember who we are in Christ and what we have been given to fight the good fight one person at a time. One people group at a time. One nation at a time. So Father, I lift up my praise to You and thank you that You have not left us defenseless in this world. Now I will use what we have given me and all Your chosen and will exercise the power of prayer for the people of Nigeria and for all people and situations that You or others bring to my attention. When I first read this prayer request, I didn't know what to pray. You just showed me. Thank you for allowing me to share this prayer with others who are feeling helpless watching the atrocities happening in the world. We are not helpless for the Spirit, Himself, helps us in our weakness when we don't know what to pray. I don't know details, but You do, Father. And today I lift up the Christians of Nigeria to You and You will know what do to. Thank you Father for also given us the authority to prayer in the Name of Your son. So in Yeshua's name, I offer up this prayer to You. Amen.
