Second Sunday of Advent

God of Justice, your Reign awaits!
But how shall we live in peace?
The axe is lying at the root of the trees!
How shall we bear the fruit of repentance?
Your Holy One is coming to redeem us!
How shall we prepare the way?
Let your grace like a shoot rise within us.
Let your harmony reign in our hearts.
May your grace have dominion over us.
May the lamb of our faith lie down
with the wolf of our fears, in peace.
By your grace prepare a way in us,
and be the peace in us that we long for.
Amen.
