How will I know if my work is accepted?

  • If we choose to use your meditation, we will notify you before publication and send you the paperwork that must be signed and returned before your work can be published.
  • We pay $25 for weekday meditations ($10-15 if we use your submission as part of a group or as a reflection for another meditation). Payment will be made at the time of acceptance.
  • Meditations not chosen for publication will be returned only if you have sent an SASE. Because of the number of meditations we receive, we are unable to check the status of submissions still being considered or submissions without an SASE that were not selected.

Decades of Faithfulness

Pastor Harold Stinson was given The Upper Room as a child by his mother. He is now 71 years old and still reads the devotional guide every day but now in large print. He also hosts a daily prayer call and uses the scripture from the meditation as the basis for that call.

Share the gift of faith by giving to the youth and young adult ministries of The Upper Room.
