Personalize Isaiah 55:1-3

Read the passage out loud or silently to yourself. Insert your name where there are blanks.

All of you who are thirsty, come to the water!
Whoever has no money, come, buy food and eat!
Without money, at no cost, buy wine and milk!
Why spend money for what isn’t food,___________
   and your earnings for what doesn’t satisfy? Listen carefully to me and eat what is good;
   enjoy the richest of feasts.
Listen and come to me, ___________;
   listen, and you will live.
I will make an everlasting covenant with you,___________,
   my faithful loyalty to David.

Our resolve must be different. My prayer is that we have finally reached a tipping point. My hope is that when the protests fade and the marches slow that our will as a church to truly eradicate the scourge of racism won’t dissipate but grows even stronger.”
