More From Kathleen Harder

May 30, 2021 by Kathleen Harder (Texas, USA)

In my meditation, I describe my children bursting into tears when the lights go out during a storm.  I thought readers would enjoy seeing those kids back then, and now today.  All three are adopted, one of them is African American, and one of them is Korean American.  Our children have taught us a lot about love and what it means to be a family!

I join many of those who will pray for you as you seek to discern what you are called to be at this moment. May God grant you the courage to fulfill that calling. May we all open our eyes and see the misery, open our ears and hear the cries of God’s people, and, like God through the Lord Jesus Christ, be incarnate amongst them.”
