More From Chuck Kralik

October 5, 2021 by Chuck Kralik (Missouri, USA)

Hey, everyone. My name is Chuck Kralik. I am a pastor, Christian author, and, I might add, an all-around good guy! I am married to Sarah, and together we have two children, Sophie and Aidan.

I’ve been writing for some time now. My first devotion in The Upper Room was published back in 2016. Since then, I’ve written for a couple of other publications as well. I’ve had devotions published in The Upper Room Disciplines and in two other books by a content creator called Devotable. Probably the writing I am the proudest of is a collaborative project with artist Terri Melia Hamlin. Together, we published an illustrated Christian children’s book that tells the story of Jesus as a young child and the interactions he may have had with his earthly parents, Joseph and Mary. It is a fictional story that holds deep Biblical truth

Today’s devotion, “Foul Ball!,” was written following a trip to a minor league baseball game. The kindness of my son, Aidan, concerning the foul ball that he had caught made me think of the kindness of Jesus to each of us. The main character of my devotion, Aidan, makes this one of my favorite devotions of all time!

I’d love for you to check out my author website at Once there, you’ll find over a hundred devotional posts on various topics and more information about my children’s book.

Thank you for allowing me to share! Blessings to each of you!

I could not have found The Upper Room Moments of Prayer (on Facebook Live) sooner. For it is during these moments of centering spiritual practices, meditating on the words of scripture, praying with and for the world, that I find moments of transcendence, hear whispers of peace and hope, see glimpses of truth and justice, behold visions of love and beauty amid all the stark realities that are around me.”

Join us every Monday and Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. (CST) for prayer and worship on Facebook Live.
