In the 12 years since my husband, James, and I first committed to go where God called us to go, we have traveled to many more places. We have said yes when it didn’t make any sense, when it seemed we were sacrificing our dreams, and when we were so broken that we weren’t sure we had anything left to give. Through it all, one thing has never changed—God has remained faithful every step of the way.

If you had told me all those years ago what we would endure along the way, I’m not sure I would have willingly asked God to send me! Looking back, I realize how naïve that first yes was. But the testimonies of God’s provision, protection, and endless blessings have made it all worth it, and I would do it all again.

In 2011, before an especially challenging transition, a pastor shared a verse with me that has carried me through each season with increased faith and renewed hope. I pray it encourages you today as you learn to put your trust in our faithful and loving God: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6, NIV).

We are now in our twelfth new home since surrendering our lives to Jesus. We have traveled throughout Idaho, and now Arizona, in obedience to the Lord. James and I have served in many ministries, planted two churches, and are in the early stages of our third church plant now. We have two amazing children whom we homeschool. My first book released in 2021—a fun and interactive devotional to feed your family’s faith.
