So much has happened since I wrote this meditation.  One of the dear women I wrote about has been baptized, and she and her husband attend church regularly.  This is a true gift from God. It is an answer to many years of prayer and waiting.  While I would love to report she was led to Christ through me and my other friend, her turning to Christ came unexpectedly through her husband, who was a self-proclaimed atheist for years.  This was a good reminder to me that God is full of surprises.  God always has a better plan then I could ever imagine and trusting God is all I must do.  God is good.
