More From Kathy Bunse

God speaks to me through nature.  Often God uses my pets, wildlife, plants and the land itself as messengers and teachers.  When I still my mind and engage my senses, insight flows naturally.

Unfortunately, I haven’t returned to the trail which inspired my devotion based on Isaiah 40:3.  However, I remember the steep ravine our team descended and ascended to get from one section to the next.  Without the foresight and encouragement of our leader, Kim, some of us would have turned back.

The trail clearing adventure showed me once again how God goes ahead of me to support and guide me through difficult times.  God has seen me through more tough times since I wrote this devotion.  Best of all, God has used me to guide others.  What a privilege!

Since I submitted this devotion, I have written two children’s books.  My work has also been published in Christian Living in the Mature Years.  As long as God continues to inspire me, I will keep writing.
