What Does God Sound Like?
An Excerpt from Speak, My Soul If we are to hear our own soul speak, we Read More
The cookies I was referring to in my devotion are my favorite ones, Nutter Butters. The big box store near us used to carry them but has not for some time. Every time we went I asked, “Where are the Nutter Butters? They would say, “We don’t know.” There has also been, more recently, a shortage of raisins, though—for some reason—they have dried cranberries. The person at the big box store said the raisin shortage was due to a breakdown in the process machines in California.
I am sure most have a COVID shortage story or anecdote. And I know there are lots of car-related incidents. For example, my son recently had repair work done on his truck after a minor accident. The minor repair took over six months as they could not get the right part due to a, “break in the supply chain.” I have heard that term more than once. I even heard a horror story about a woman who took her car to a body repair shop and later found out they had chopped her car up and sold it for parts without telling her, saying they could not get the required parts for her car so it was better to part it out.
Fortunately, when it comes to spiritual manna, there is never a break in the supply chain. God, Jehovah Jireh, does not delay or disappoint.
These pictures are from our favorite garden in North Georgia—Gibbs Garden, the one I am always gushing about. If you ever get a chance to visit it, please do so. My grandkids always say, “Grandpa, how come you have so many pictures of plants on your phone?”
* Addendum—the Nutter Butters are in.
