My grandmother was a big influence on me as I watched her read her Bible and The Upper Room every day. She taught me so much about God. When I was worried, she would always say, “Pray about it, and ask God for strength and believe in God’s word.” Looking back now, I would pray but still had doubt sometimes.
I am now fifty-four years old, and I understand more about what she was teaching me at a young age. God will never leave nor forsake us, and God gives us strength in our daily lives. I hope that I have passed what I learned from my grandmother to my two grown sons who love God as they continue to grow in faith.
