More From Patricia Noller

September 28, 2018 by Patricia Noller (Queensland, Australia)

Today I am an 80-year-old widow who is still thankful each day for God's provision. My husband died suddenly in 2011, but my church family is very caring and ensures that I am taken care of when needed, even though my insistence on independence can sometimes make that difficult for all concerned. Fortunately, they continue to love me despite my making their care difficult.

After receiving the doctoral degree that I mentioned in the meditation, I was appointed to the faculty at the university. Because of my work at the university, I now have superannuation which has given me a pension that I can comfortably live on. With my pension, I can still support my church, mission organizations, and other charities that are dear to my heart. My house is large enough that I am able to have family from out of town to stay, and I also lead two Bible study groups in my home. I have family living close by. I also live close to shops, medical facilities, and public transport. At this stage in my life, I am able to walk to the shops and to most of the services I need.  I can still drive but not at night, and my friends are always willing to help. I am thankful to God for the love, care, and all the other benefits that God has provided. I continue to affirm that God faithfully provides all my needs.
