Let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up. - Galatians 6:9 (NRSV)

The email stung. Magazine editors had rejected my devotional submission. I had put a lot of time and thought into that piece, and I believed in my words. I tried to imagine the editor’s viewpoint and to sense the challenging decisions they make each day reading endless submissions.

Today's Prayer
Heavenly Father, when we encounter the frustration of rejection, help us to return to your sure foundation. As Jesus taught us, we pray, “Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation” (Luke 11:2-4, NIV). Amen.
