Mary Ann Baker (Pennsylvania)
To all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. - John 1:12 (NIV)
My parents took me into their home when I was three months old. After that, every detail of their lives was scrutinized before they could adopt me. In court, their friends testified as character references. Social workers made many unannounced visits to see what kind of care I was receiving....
Every person is special to God.

I join many of those who will pray for you as you seek to discern what you are called to be at this moment. May God grant you the courage to fulfill that calling. May we all open our eyes and see the misery, open our ears and hear the cries of God’s people, and, like God through the Lord Jesus Christ, be incarnate amongst them.”
