“When I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me.” - Micah 7:8 (NRSV)
Now that I’m retired, I look forward to my trips to a nearby park to walk through the woods. Often as I walk, the sunlight filters through the trees and shines down on me. I sometimes find myself pausing to pray saying, “Lord, where is your light in my life...
God can be a constant source of light in my life — often where I least expect it.

I join many of those who will pray for you as you seek to discern what you are called to be at this moment. May God grant you the courage to fulfill that calling. May we all open our eyes and see the misery, open our ears and hear the cries of God’s people, and, like God through the Lord Jesus Christ, be incarnate amongst them.”
