You have been a refuge for the poor, a refuge for the needy in their distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat. - Isaiah 25:4 (NIV)
A violent hailstorm ripped through many parts of my city. Our church windows were not spared when the golf-ball sized hailstones punched through them. On Sunday morning, as I sat in a quiet space in a hall with broken windows, I wondered what good could come from this damage.
How can I help make my church a true sanctuary?

Respond by posting a prayer.
I join many of those who will pray for you as you seek to discern what you are called to be at this moment. May God grant you the courage to fulfill that calling. May we all open our eyes and see the misery, open our ears and hear the cries of God’s people, and, like God through the Lord Jesus Christ, be incarnate amongst them.”
