My times are in your hands. - Psalm 31:15 (NIV)

I used to feel pressured by time constraints and would drive hurriedly, trying to beat traffic lights or pass other drivers. One day when things weren’t going my way and everything seemed to frustrate my attempts to save time, a thought came to me: Your time is in God’s hands....

Today's Prayer
God of all times and places, receive our praise and gratitude as we see your work in our lives. We pray as Jesus taught us, saying, “Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen” (Matt. 6:9-13, kjv).

While several strategies for reopening the world are being discussed, I encourage you—the people of God everywhere—to allow this season to be a formative one during which you can make new discoveries about God and increase your faith. Use this time to embark on a life of prayer, a life of study, and a life of action—involvement in the community.”
