Paul wrote, “My message and my preaching [were] presented . . . with a demonstration of the Spirit and of power . . . . so that your faith might not depend on the wisdom of people but on the power of God.” - 1 Corinthians 2:4-5 (CEB)
When my aunt was being tested for a life-threatening illness, I started praying desperately that if she had the illness she would be healed. I worried, though, that my faith needed to be rock solid for God to hear me, and I didn’t believe my faith was that strong.
God’s power is greater than anything I go through.

I join many of those who will pray for you as you seek to discern what you are called to be at this moment. May God grant you the courage to fulfill that calling. May we all open our eyes and see the misery, open our ears and hear the cries of God’s people, and, like God through the Lord Jesus Christ, be incarnate amongst them.”
