You do well if you really fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” - James 2:8 (NRSV)
I was teaching English as a Second Language to college-age students who were preparing to enter a university in the U.S. One day the class was learning to use the reflexive pronouns (myself, yourself, himself, etc.), and students were practicing by filling in the blanks in sentences in their workbook....
To whom is God calling me to be a neighbor today?

Respond by posting a prayer.
I join many of those who will pray for you as you seek to discern what you are called to be at this moment. May God grant you the courage to fulfill that calling. May we all open our eyes and see the misery, open our ears and hear the cries of God’s people, and, like God through the Lord Jesus Christ, be incarnate amongst them.”
