Jesus said, “It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.” - John 16:7 (KJV)
In the last moments Jesus spent with his disciples, he warned them about the persecutions ahead of them if they were to follow him. Jesus did not share this warning to discourage and frighten them but to build their faith and help them understand the journey ahead.
