The apostle Paul wrote, “One thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 3:13-14 (NIV)
On the interstate, I strained to see the road ahead. High-beam lights from the pickup truck behind me shined through my car’s back window and reflected off my windshield and mirrors. I was tempted to check the mirrors, but I knew the brilliance of the light could momentarily blind me....
When I stop focusing on my past, I can move forward with God.
