Merry Christmas from The Upper Room!

December 17, 2021 by The staff of The Upper Room

The angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.” . . . Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

“Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

—Luke 2:10–11, 13–14, NIV

During this season of Christmas and beyond, let us too become bearers of the Good News, echoing the message of the angels and the shepherds with our voices and lives.

Merry Christmas
from The Upper Room staff!

You are invited to gather with us on Christmas Day at 11:00 a.m. CT in The Upper Room Chapel to celebrate the birth of the Christ Child and to pray with and on behalf of the world. Join us live on Facebook or YouTube.

I join many of those who will pray for you as you seek to discern what you are called to be at this moment. May God grant you the courage to fulfill that calling. May we all open our eyes and see the misery, open our ears and hear the cries of God’s people, and, like God through the Lord Jesus Christ, be incarnate amongst them.”
