Celebrating Africana Heritage in The Upper Room Chapel

February 9, 2022 by The staff of The Upper Room

In this last week of Black History Month, we are excited to welcome the Rev. Pamela Kellar to The Upper Room Chapel alongside Rev. Dr. Amy E. Steele and Rev. Beth A. Richardson. Rev. Kellar is a pastor and musician who will offer to us the gift of spirituals. In our time together this week, we also reflect on the wisdom of Archbishop Desmond Tutu and the African notion of Ubuntu—“I am because we are.”

Join us for worship live from The Upper Room Chapel every Wednesday at 11:00 AM Central time on Facebook or YouTube.

I join many of those who will pray for you as you seek to discern what you are called to be at this moment. May God grant you the courage to fulfill that calling. May we all open our eyes and see the misery, open our ears and hear the cries of God’s people, and, like God through the Lord Jesus Christ, be incarnate amongst them.”
