Advent greetings from the Emmaus Ministries International Office. In this sacred season, we give thanks that Emmaus Ministries has been strengthening disciples for the renewal of the church for four and a half decades. Did you know that more than 1.4 million people worldwide, like yourself, have been on a Walk to Emmaus? And thousands have attended a Chrysalis Flight or a Face to Face Encounter. All to God’s glory. We are truly a part of something special.
The Walk to Emmaus continues to offer today’s disciples an unparallel opportunity to rediscover Christ’s presence in their lives, to gain a fresh understanding of God’s transforming grace, and to form meaningful friendships that encourage a lifetime of spiritual growth on the Fourth Day.
During the pandemic, the Emmaus Ministries office hosted international and regional gatherings that connected pilgrims around the world and renewed their souls. We created and launched Village Encounter and Day Four Restore, two new online offerings in the Emmaus tradition that serve pilgrims in fresh ways. And we have encouraged pilgrims, individually and within their reunion groups and community, to live out their Fourth Day in faithful ways. Plus, what a joy to see in-person weekend walks making a comeback.
As we approach our 45th anniversary, we continue to dream big dreams and plan boldly for the future. But we need your help. On September 23, we launched a 100 Days of Giving campaign in which all proceeds go the Fourth Day Fund, our operational fund for Emmaus Ministries. The campaign ends on December 31 with a goal of raising $50,000. Your gift today will continue to empower the Emmaus movement to renew Christian disciples, strengthen local churches—all for the sake of the world. With God’s help—and yours—Emmaus Ministries’ work of spiritual renewal will carry on and serve as a healing balm for a suffering world.
Can we count on you?
P.S. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, Emmaus Ministries renews lives, homes and families, churches and communities, and the world. Your gift today will make God’s love real to all. Thank you for your generosity.

The RESILIENCE conference in 2021 was so uplifting and nourishing. It was wonderful to be with other Christians around the world at this retreat, who truly care about responding to trauma in a compassionate way by teaching spiritual practices to help with grounding and healing.”
