The Village Encounter Takes Off in Australia

After months of preparation, the Western Sydney Emmaus Ministries community is just weeks away from launching The Village Encounter for Australia’s Christian community. Beginning May 1, 2025 this Emmaus Ministries virtual program will provide a space for followers of Christ to reexperience God’s grace and grow in Christlikeness for the sake of others. 

This initiative is not limited to Sydney alone but extends to individuals across Australia who may be unable or prefer not to attend an in-person event. By offering an accessible, spiritually enriching experience, The Village Encounter seeks to reach a broader audience and deepen their connection with God. 

In a message to the Emmaus Ministries International Office, the Western Sydney team shared their excitement: 

“Yes, the training is complete, and our team has bonded together with a golden thread of love and care. The movement of the Holy Spirit is palpable as we are guided by God’s hand. We now step into the next phase of presenting this wonderful gift of God’s love and grace to Pilgrims! We know that God has brought us to this point to be a blessing to others.” 

As they embark on this new journey, the Western Sydney Emmaus community invites members of the global Emmaus Ministries family to support them through prayer. Those who wish to join their prayer vigil can do so here.
