The Upper Room Chapel and Museum

July 26, 2018 by Kathryn Kimball

Kathryn Kimball, the curator and manager of The Upper Room Chapel and Christian Art Museum, found this postcard from the mid 1950s.

The window above the stained glass window space is not complete. The stained glass window area is plain cathedral glass and there are draperies across the window. The stained glass window was installed in 1959 and dedicated on Pentecost Sunday 1959.

When you are in the Nashville area, be sure to visit The Upper Room Chapel & Museum.

"When I became a parent, I struggled to find God within the chaotic world where I now lived. I was used to contemplative prayer, to silence and service and listening for God’s still, small voice in quiet, hidden spaces. Suddenly none of my life felt quiet or hidden – it was all loud, messy, and exposed." Discover more.
