Today's devotion prompted me to put a prayer on the wall for my dad. Turning 87 next month. And struggling, as many older folks do, with being able to get a good night's sleep. I pray that when I send him today's devotion he will embrace the discipline described by the author and use it when he wakes up throughout the night. To reflect on the past day and give thanks to God. I do thank the Lord for his salvation and I continue to pray for a closer walk with the Lord for my dad. And I'm so thankful that even as a young boy he was familiar with the upper room as his parents kept it in the home. Thank you Lord for hearing this prayer. In Jesus' name. Amen
