June 7: Ask the Expert
1. When you have to do a task that is outside of your skill set, do you call an expert or do you try to do it on your own?  Why?  How do your results vary depending on which option you choose?
2. Do you find it easy to turn to God when you need guidance or help with a situation?  Why or why not?  What helps you lean on God in uncertain times?
3. When you pray for God’s will to be made clear to you, how do you discern God’s will?  After receiving God’s guidance, how do you proceed?  What do you do when you don’t like what you hear?
4. Where or to whom do you most often turn when you need help with an important life matter?  Have you ever found guidance through unexpected means?  Explain.
5. How does God communicate to you through scripture?  How do you embrace that communication from God?

June 14: Pause and Consider
1. Do you participate in devotional time with your friends?  In what ways does spending time with others in this way strengthen your faith and provide you with new insights?
2. Have you ever encountered a Christian teaching only to understand its application at a later time?  What caused the message to finally sink in?
3. When someone offends you, do you find it easier to stay angry or to try to see the situation from the other person’s perspective?  In what ways does your mindset change when you pause and consider God’s will for you?
4. Recall a time when God gave you the exact words or company that you needed.  How did that experience make you aware of what God was guiding you toward?
5. How do you make time to hear God speaking to you?  What spiritual practices and prayers help you to slow down and truly listen?  What happens when you do?

June 21: God Is Good
1. Do you strive to be the best and be seen by others as successful?  Do you struggle when you experience failure?  Why or why not?  
2. Are you able to remain hopeful and content even when you are not experiencing success?  What helps you to focus on God when you aren’t succeeding?
3. How do prayer, scripture, and people in your life support you through challenging times?  How do they remind you that God loves you no matter how much earthly success you achieve?
4. What is the most meaningful lesson you have learned through failing?  How has that lesson impacted your life?  How has it affected your relationship with God and others?
5. What scripture passages most clearly remind you that God is good regardless of your situation?  How do you cling to those passages when you are overwhelmed?

June 28: God’s Spirit Intercedes
1. With whom do you pray regularly?  How does that prayer practice draw you closer to God and to your prayer companion?  In what ways do your prayer habits differ from your companion’s?
2. Do you typically pray aloud or silently?  Why?  Does this change depending on your situation?  Explain.
3. When have you had trouble finding the words to pray? Did you manage to pray anyway, or did you take a break?  How do you pray without words?
4. When has someone prayed for you who knew exactly what to say?  What is the most meaningful prayer that you can remember someone praying for you?
5. How are you praying for others?  How are others praying for you?  What difference does this make for you and your ability to live abundantly?
