More From Jenny Calvert

April 19, 2018 by Jenny Calvert (Texas)

Since writing today's devotional, I wish I could say all the work in our home is completed. We are going very slow, as my husband is doing all the work himself. He is limited to after work hours and weekends. We have our bedroom and kitchen still on the, “To Do” list.

The bedroom is coming along nicely, however the next step is tearing down the ceiling. With all the drywall, mud, tape, sanding, and painting involved, and with our furniture and belongings displaced in other rooms, the entire house has become unorganized and coated with a layer of dust. This is the part of construction that I do not like.

I know that for things to get better, sometimes they to get worse for a while. I have to be patient, which is not one of my strongest qualities. Several houses in our subdivision have had fires because they were built in the 70s and followed older codes. I know that even though the construction is bad now, changing the pipes and wiring in our house will make the house safer for us to live in.

As God continues to work on improvements in me, I continue in His work of writing. I am a featured writer for www.dailyprayer.us under the link Daily Inspiration. I also have a blog at www.libertyladiesdevotionalblogspot.com. My goal is to write at least two devotionals a week for both the Daily Prayer and my blog. I also have a variety of other goals for my writing throughout the week. This keeps me comfortably busy, with time to spare for playing bells in two bell choirs, teaching piano lessons, helping with my grandchildren, doing my daily 3 mile walk, and submitting writing for other projects.
