The summer of 2021 was truly a very difficult time. Not only was I having problems with my asthma, but I also lost my family doctor, who had a serious illness himself. At times I didn’t know where to turn — except to God.
Since then, I have grown in my spiritual walk with God through prayer and scripture reading. There have been many times of rejoicing in the Lord and praising him for what he has done in my life. However, there have also been many trials, which I believe have refined me and have brought me closer to God.
As I write this blog, my brother’s wife is very ill and in the intensive care unit at the hospital. My sister’s best friend, who is like a sister, is also in the hospital with serious heart problems. We have been going between the two. We know their lives are in God’s hands. However, it has been hard on our hearts, as these are special people to us. Day by day we pray and ask for God’s wisdom as to how we can help and how to pray. We are leaning on the Lord and on God’s word for how we can best minister to them. We ask for God’s strength to carry on.
It doesn't matter if you or I run out of strength. The Holy Spirit has enough strength and guidance for us all. No matter what we are going through, we can pause and ask God for what we need and rest in God.
