Bare Bones Living

I finally dropped anchor in Maine after all my years of wandering as a photojournalist. The Lord not only provided a Christian realtor to help me find home port but also sent believers from my church to furnish the place. Although I returned to the U.S. with little in the way of possessions, God demonstrated that he was a step ahead of me.
Avoiding the accumulation of things I don’t really need is still a challenge. I’m not surprised that so many American households rent a unit in one of the country’s over 50,000 self-storage facilities. But I’ve learned my lesson. Bare bones living is much more exciting, trusting the faithfulness of Jehovah Jireh as I travel light on this earth. My real valuables are safely stored in heaven!
