The Lord said, “I have . . . seen the misery of my people. . . . So I have come down to rescue them.” - Exodus 3:7-8 (NIV)
We were on our way from Nashville, Tennessee, to Camp Sumatanga in Alabama. The beautiful stretch of highway promised smooth driving, until a huge orange sign indicated a detour. We took a left turn and ended up on a secondary road. We waited at intersections and stopped at stop signs....

Emmaus helped me laugh again, and it brought joy back to my life after the loss of my child. I am now stronger than ever in my walk with the Lord. And to this day, I continue to sponsor pilgrims to The Walk to Emmaus. In my local church, I have led our discipleship team and have had the opportunity to start new Sunday school classes and various women’s ministries. ¡De Colores!”
