The psalmist wrote, “Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint; preserve my life from the dread enemy.” - Psalm 64:1 (NRSV)
I teach a dance class each week in which we move our bodies in different ways to express emotions, including negative ones. We bring our hands high above our heads and then move them quickly to the ground as if we’re throwing down a large, heavy object to let go...
God listens to both my complaints and my praise.
To pray honestly
Respond by posting a prayer.
I join many of those who will pray for you as you seek to discern what you are called to be at this moment. May God grant you the courage to fulfill that calling. May we all open our eyes and see the misery, open our ears and hear the cries of God’s people, and, like God through the Lord Jesus Christ, be incarnate amongst them.”
