If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. - Mark 9:43 (NIV)
There are over 60 languages spoken in my neighborhood, making it one of the most diverse communities in the world. But the beauty of our
diversity is tainted by a
long history of discri-mination. Tensions are
particularly high between our mostly white police force and our African and African-American populations.
God’s transforming grace is always available to me.

Respond by posting a prayer.
While several strategies for reopening the world are being discussed, I encourage you—the people of God everywhere—to allow this season to be a formative one during which you can make new discoveries about God and increase your faith. Use this time to embark on a life of prayer, a life of study, and a life of action—involvement in the community.”
